When You Are There

Blustery days in catamarans

And rainy nights in tents

             are so much fun

Touching starfish in the crashing surf

And eating tacos

on the run

Soaking thunderstorms on mountain trails

And skinny dips in creeks

            make me laugh

Peddling bikes along the river

Snuggling in a sleeping bag

             or watching a giraffe

It’s all a thrill of happiness

when you are there
